Types of banks
All the banks have the same monetary system controlled by a particular bank: the central bank which controls the banks, ensures the emission of the tickets and lays down the monetary policy. It exist several types of banks according to the activities which they undertake: deposit banks, investment bank, banks specialized in a kind of loan, banks general practitioner, etc. The financial concentration and the development of general-purpose gigantic financial institutions (banks of deposit, insurance, management of the insurance life, management of fortune, investment banks, changes, securities house, etc) scramble the old distinctions, more especially as the bank manufactures from now on market products except assessment and managed by ad hoc companies (for example SPV, Special Purpose Vehicle, and products of securitization) not currently subjected to the banking legislation.
